Various Tools for the purpose of teaching like Models, Torso, Chart, Specimens, Instruments, etc. are present in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology so that students can easily get the keen knowledge in the subject. As this clinical subject is quite interesting, to make it more exciting, monthly seminars and guest lectures will be conducted in the whole academic year. Our faculty have in-depth knowledge about this science, which can help the student get good result in theory as well as in the practical with an indeed knowledge of the subject so that in future, students can diagnose the case correctly. Hence students will have their regular clinical classes in OPD and IPD of various Govt. and appropriate private hospitals.

- Describe the population dynamics and indicators of maternal and child health.
- Describe the concepts of biophysical, psychological and spiritual aspects of normal pregnancy, labour and puerperium.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during reproductive period.
- Integrate the concepts of family centered approach in obstetrics and gynaecology.
- Identify and analyze the deviations from normal birth process and refer appropriately.
- Describe the pharmacological agents, their effects during pregnancy, child birth, puerperium, lactation and the role of physician.
- Counsel adolescents, women and families on issues pertaining to pregnancy, child birth and lactation.
- Describe the role of various types of complementary and alternative therapies in obstetrics and gynaecology.
- Incorporate evidence-based practice and identify the areas of research in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.
- Describe the recent advancement in contraceptive technology and birth control measures.
